Wooden Door 41, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

A painting of a wooden door against a glorious peach-colored wall in Guanajuato, Mexico. I usually look for very colorful, painted doors and skip past the unpainted wooden doors, but the geometry of this one appealed to me so much that I couldn’t resist.

8 x 10 inches, ink, watercolor, and gouache on paper. The paper itself measures 9 x 12 inches.

Paintings are signed on the back in pen. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
