Two Views of San Miguel
A pair of handpainted postcards from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. One is a view from a hilly neighborhood street with an iconic green taxi in the foreground. The other was done from the rooftop of the Rosewood Hotel, which offers fabulous views of the town as the sun goes down and the lights come up. The wind picks up as well, and it can get surprisingly chilly at night, so the waiters walk around handing out blankets. So we all sit under the stars, drinking our cocktails, wrapped in blankets.
The paper is 4 x 6 inches and the painting fills (or very nearly fills) the paper. Some of these are done on actual watercolor postcard paper, which means that the back might have three lines for an address and a little box where you’d put a stamp. Mail it or keep it for yourself, that’s up to you.
Paintings are signed on the back in pen. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
