Postcards from Paris 4×6

Paris! Home of grand doors painted in fabulous colors and inviting cafes. Here are two handmade postcards of classis Parisians scenes. Keep one, send one to a friend. Meet up in Paris next year.

The purple door is 4 x 6 inches, ink and watercolor on paper. The paper itself measures 5 x 7 inches. I made it using an ink transfer process similar to a monotype. The red awning is on 4×6 postcard paper, complete with an address blank on the back. The image nearly fills the paper at roughly 4×5, ink and watercolor.

Paintings are signed on the back in pen. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
