LA Lights 5×7

I love some city lights off in the distance! This wouldn’t be southern California without a plane up in the sky, coming in for a landing at LAX. I almost called this painting “Airplane” because I’m pretty sure it’s the best airplane I’ve ever painted–just three dots, way off in the distance.

This is painted with gouache. The image is 5×7 and the paper is 140 lb watercolor paper measuring 7×10 inches.

Paintings are signed on the back in pencil. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
