Italian Door with Clothesline

A painting of a clothesline hanging above a door in Orvieto, Italy. I don’t know what I loved more about this doorway–the clothesline, or the shadow the clothesline cast across the door.

4 x 6 inches, ink and watercolor on paper. The paper itself measures 5 x 7 inches.

Paintings are signed on the back in pen. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
