Hebrides Landscape, Scotland 5×7

I just can’t get enough of these dramatic Scottish landscapes. The colors! How can those trees really be purple? But they are!

This is painted with gouache, plus a few mixed-media accents in colored pencil, ink, and marker. The image is 5×7 and the paper is 140 lb watercolor paper measuring 7×10 inches.

Paintings are signed on the back in pencil. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
