Cafe in Rome 8×10

A string of cafes in Rome getting ready to open for the day. This is one of a series of paintings I’m doing entirely with ink–in this case, black India ink and golden Diamine Honey Burst. These two colors together are surprisingly faithful to the colors of Italy.

8 x 10 inches, ink on paper. The paper itself measures 9 x 12 inches.

Paintings are signed on the back in pen. Some of my paintings are done on-site, which means that the paper may have slight scuffs or very minor blemishes around the edges or on the back. That’s just part of the process of working outdoors.
