Rue Saint-Paul, Old Montreal

I could not stop photographing this narrow old street in Montreal last summer.  Most evenings I would pace around, waiting for the lights to come up.  I could probably just work on Rue Saint-Paul for a year and not run out of material.  It’s a touristy area now–all restaurants and shops and art galleries–but it really is a lovely old European-style piece of Montreal in spite of the souvenirs and overpriced drinks.

This is 8 x 10, oil on 1/2 inch panel.  Click here to bid, go here to see all paintings on eBay, and go here to see my gallery on Daily Paintworks.
