So there's this thing that happens in New York City every year that people call Manhattanhenge. The sunset aligns with the city's grid in such a way that you can see amazing sunsets between the buildings. I happened to be there last year when it was happening, but I had no idea it was such a THING.
Manhattanhenge just happened yesterday (and I wasn't there…sigh….) but here's a view from last year, just after the sun set. Next year I'm going to be sure to plan my trip around the dates, which get announced ahead of time here.
