It's surprisingly hard to find a good fruit stand to paint in New York City. If you're selling fruit on the street, it's pretty important to keep it in the shade so it doesn't all spoil before the day's up. But getting good light and interesting shadows on the fruit is always what I'm after. So I was happy to find this guy just sitting there, letting the sun shine on his fruit.
