Fabulous, Locally-Grown Flowers

Dscn14251_2 Ah, summer in Arcata.  At the farmers market this time of year, you can get all kinds of interesting and unusual flowers.  Sweet peas and clarkia were for sale today, along with tons of dahlias.  Gorgeous.  And I heard the grower giving a customer a vase-life guarantee, something more and more florists are starting to do.   "The dahlias will last a week if you keep them out of the sunlight," she said.  The sweet peas might not last as long, but they are so heavenly for a few days that they’re well worth it.

  1. I’m curious about the term, “Vase-life guarantee.” Meaning if the dahlias don’t last a week then…?

  2. vase life guaranty
what do you think of the value of this statement at the time of offering flowers. you think that the woman or the regular customers will be atracted by this type of offer, you think that any person will prefer the guaranty flowers in top of the non guaranty and as you mention the cosumer want a low price, this will motivate them to pay more for the. i will be interested to know if you have made any studies in this topic. can you share them.
    thanks,
