The Wicked Bugs book tour starts next week. I have yet to actually see a copy of the finished book–they have just been printed, I'm told–so I might get a copy in my hands before I leave for the tour, or I might meet up with it on the road. Regardless, I'd really like to meet up with you on the road. A book tour is a perilous thing–because the book is so new, you never really know if anyone will want to show up and talk about it. So if you're even vaguely inclined to come to one of these events, I hope you'll make the effort, drag some friends along, and come say hello when you do.
A couple of highlights I want to point out: An all-too-rare writing workshop in Denver (I teach maybe once every couple of years, and this is it), and an exhibit of Briony Morrow-Cribbs' extraordinary etchings in Madison at the Overture Center for the Arts. I'll be there April 27 with Briony, but her art is on exhibit now and continues through June 26.
Also, in St. Louis, I'm giving what will surely be a one-time-only talk called "Wicked Trees." It combines tree-related bits from Wicked Plants and Wicked Bugs into a tree-themed talk to help kick off their Treemendous festival.
See you there? I hope so! Check out the complete list of tour dates here.
