“Smoke Break, Soho”

Smoke break

It's been a while since I've posted any paintings.  I've been incredibly busy finishing my next book, but I have managed to find a little time to paint.  In fact, I've got quite a stack of finished paintings sitting around right now.  I'm going to try to post a bunch of them in January.

This is New York, of course–somewhere in Soho, from a photo I took more than a year ago.  One of these days I'll get a camera with a built-in GPS so I won't have to wonder where, exactly, I was when I got an idea for a painting.  Anyway, it was a nice sunny afternoon in the city–a good time for a smoke break, I guess!

8 x 10 oil on 1/2 inch board. Go here to see this painting on eBay.  See all my paintings on eBay here, and I've got a gallery on DailyPaintworks, too.

  1. This one has come to live with me now, and I LOVE it. Beautiful work! How is it fair for you to have such a wide range of talents? I swear, if I didn’t admire you, I’d hate you…
